SUBMISSION INFORMATION AND RULES
- Entries must be postmarked by the deadline date. No
exceptions. Early entries due by 4/01/2016 and late entries due by 4/08/2016.
- We’re making it easier to submit your film entry. The
preferred method to submit your film is to send the file using a large file
transfer service (we suggest www.WeTransfer.com). Send an AVI, MP4 or MPG
to mbankhead@statesboroherald.com.
Please include your name and the film title. Data disk submission is no longer
required, but still accepted (If you’re submitting a data disk include the AVI,
MP4 or MPG of the film). Your film will be posted for online voting pending
review and paid entry fee. A playable DVD of your film is no longer required.
- Each entry must be accompanied by a separate submission,
which includes the form and payment for each submission.
- Entry fees are to be made payable to “Statesboro Publishing”
by check or money order. No cash accepted.
- Films with a foreign dialogue must have English subtitles to
be eligible. If a valid email was provided you will be notified that we
received your entry.
- Filmmaker grants necessary editing rights should a film
require it (no nudity, language is permitted, however a clean version must be
provided for online viewing (this means submitting your original and a clean
version of the film) (must be safe for radio/broadcast standards)).
- Statesboro Publishing does not assume any liability in the
event of damage to videos or materials.
- We reserve the right to change any of these rules without
notice. By submitting your entry you are agreeing to these terms.
- Music and talent releases must be obtained by the filmmaker.
Statesboro Publishing will not be liable for copyright infringement or
unauthorized use.
- All entries must be original and independently produced.
- For joint efforts, the filmmakers must assign a single
representative to act on their behalf. All official correspondence shall be
addressed only to the assigned representative. Statesboro Herald Publishing
will not be held responsible for any issue which may arise amongst the partners
with regards to the competition.
- Films with non-English dialogue must have subtitles to be
eligible.
- Entries submitted containing a Data disk will not be
returned unless a self-address envelope with appropriate postage is provided
with submission(s).
- If your film is selected to be shown on the Statesboro
Publishing website we ask that the film not be viewable in its entirety online
on social media sites such as, MySpace, Youtube, Vimeo, etc. until the
completion of the festival. Trailers and snippets are ok to post.
