SUBMISSION INFORMATION AND RULES

The Statesboro Film Festival 2012 is open to all.

Entry fee is $15.

Late entry fee is $18. Entries must be postmarked by the deadline date. No exceptions. All eligible entries must be received by 4/01/2012 and late entries by 4/10/2012

Two (2) copies are to be submitted. One (1) data disc containing film AVI and artwork (poster, etc.) and one (1) copy in DVD format.

Each entry must be accompanied by a separate submission which includes the form and payment for each submission.

Filmmaker grants necessary editing rights should a film require it (no nudity, language is permitted, however a clean version must be provided for online viewing (must be safe for radio/broadcast standards.

Only completed submission forms with entry fee will be accepted.

Entry fees are to be made payable to "Statesboro Publishing" by check or money order. No cash accepted.

Only films produced after 2010 will be eligible.

Films with a foreign dialogue must have english subtitles to be eligible.

If a valid email was provided, you will be notified that we received your entry.

Statesboro Publishing does not assume any liablility in the event of damage to videos or materials.

Music and talent releases must be obtained by the filmmaker. Statesboro Publising will not be liable for copyright infringement or unauthorized use.

All entries must be original and independently produced.

For joint efforts, the filmmakers must assign a single representative to act on their behalf. All official correspondence shall be addressed only to the assigned representative.

Statesboro Herald Publishing will not be held responsible for any issue which may arise amongst the partners with regards to the competition.

Films with non-English dialogue must have subtitles to be eligible.

If your film is selected to be shown on the Statesboro Publishing website we ask that the film not be viewable in its entirety online on such sites as, "My Space" or "You Tube" until the completion of the festival (when the film has been up for one month time from the date of announcement.

Films are to be NO MORE than 8 minutes in length.

Entries will not be returned unless a self-address envelope with appropriate postage is provide with submission(s).

Statesboro Herald employees are not eligible to participate.

Judges decisions are final.

No purchase necessary.

You must be 13 years of age or older at time of entry to be eligible for this contest. This contest is void where prohibited by law.

Winners will be notified by email. If a winner is unreachable after seven (7) days, or if that winner is unavailable for prize fulfillment, an alternate winner will be selected. If Statesboro Herald cannot find an eligible winner for the prize, that prize will not be awarded.

Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

Automated voting of any kind is not allowed. Detection of said automated voting will lead to votes being voided.

Statesboro Herald reserves the right to substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value.

Statesboro Herald reserves the right to restrict the local winners to only persons whose primary residence is within a 60 mile radius of the affiliate's' office.

Employees of Statesboro Herald, its respective parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising sponsors and promotional agencies, and the immediate family members of each are not eligible.

Contest entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of the contest commissioners, which are final on all matters pertaining to the contest.

Entrants further grant to Statesboro Herald the right to use and publish their proper name and state online and in print, or any other media, in connection with the Contest.

Statesboro Herald reserves the right to use any and all information related to the Contest, including information on contestants obtained through the contest, for marketing purposes or any other purpose, unless prohibited by law.

The Contest and all of the related pages, contents and code are copyright, UPICKEM, Inc., and/or Statesboro Herald. Copying or unauthorized use of any copyrighted materials, trademarks or any other intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited.

Each winner, by acceptance of the prize, agrees to release all Sponsors, and their parent and subsidiary companies, their officers, directors, employees, agents, shareholders, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, and advertising agencies from all liability, claims, or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages, or losses to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership, or use of the prize.

UPICKEM and Statesboro Herald are not responsible for Internet crashes or slowdowns caused by network congestion, viruses, sabotage, satellite failures, phone line failures, electrical outages, natural disasters or acts of man or God.

All results posted are unofficial until winners respond to e-mail notification.

Each winner is responsible for all federal, state and local taxes and will be required to complete an IRS form W-9. Sponsor reserves the right to withhold prizes until completed form W-9 is received.

This contest is not intended for gambling. If it is determined that a contestant is using the contest for gambling purposes they will be disqualified and reported to authorities.

Statesboro Herald reserves the right to change the rules at any time.

This contest is officially sponsored by Statesboro Herald.
